Head of Yemen’s Supreme Political Council Mahdi al Mashat has emphasized that his country stands alongside Iran in the face of pressures and conspiracies targeting the Islamic Republic and the wider region.
According to Yemen’s Al‑Masirah TV, al‑Mashat made the remarks in a message to Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, congratulating him on the 47th anniversary of the victory of Iran’s Islamic Revolution.
In his message, al‑Mashat extended his warmest congratulations to the Iranian president and people, wishing Pezeshkian health and success and the Iranian nation stability, progress and prosperity.
He referred to Iran’s achievements in various fields, particularly in science and defense, saying such advances have caused concern and anger among its adversaries.
Al‑Mashat said these achievements are the result of decades of resistance by the Iranian people against US sanctions and aggression, and of overcoming an unjust blockade under the leadership of Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.
Referring to regional developments, the Yemeni official said Sanaa trusts Iran’s leadership and people to confront challenges with wisdom and strength, adding that the Iranian nation has repeatedly demonstrated its support for the Islamic Revolution.
He also described Iran’s Islamic Revolution, led by Imam Khomeini, as a key pillar for issues facing the Muslim world, particularly the Palestinian cause.
